Why Coach Eric Chelle Attends Super Eagles Stars’ Club Games — 1 of 3
1 / 3

Nigeria’s head coach Eric Chelle says he makes a point of watching his Super Eagles players in person to assess their form and boost morale. He was among 61,783 fans at Marseille’s 3-0 Coupe de France win over Rennes on February 3. Although new signing Tochukwu Nnadi was not in the squad, Chelle used the trip to evaluate Arsenal’s Ethan Nwaneri. Chelle explains he always informs players beforehand to motivate them. He also told Ademola Lookman before scouting Atalanta’s Champions League match at Marseille, spending 75 minutes assessing his performance.
