Major Ukrainian Drone Raid Strikes Moscow Region, Killing At Least Three
Russian officials say a wave of Ukrainian drones attacked the Moscow region overnight, killing three people and injuring several others. A woman died in Khimki, two residents were killed in Pogorelki, and India’s embassy in Moscow confirmed an Indian national among the dead. Governor Andrei Vorobiev reported that air defences intercepted around 130 drones near the capital. State media called it the largest strike on Moscow in over a year. President Zelensky described the operation as a justified response to recent Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities. Ukraine’s security service claimed additional hits on oil facilities and a semiconductor plant in the region. Meanwhile, Russia launched multiple drone and missile attacks on central Ukraine, causing further casualties and property damage.
