Kaduna Police Arrest Son and Accomplice for Kidnapping Father for Ransom
The Nigeria Police Force has arrested two suspects in Kaduna linked to kidnapping and armed robbery. Spokesperson DCP Anthony Placid said Yusuf Rabo and Musa Adamu were detained after investigations into the abduction of Alhaji Rabo Jelani. Investigations revealed the suspects conspired with Ali Haruna, the victim’s grandson who remains at large. The syndicate abducted the elderly man twice, demanding two million naira first and then four and a half million naira in a separate operation. Authorities recovered one AK-47 rifle with an empty magazine, allegedly supplied by the victim’s son. The gang is also tied to other violent crimes, including the kidnapping of a trader and an armed robbery along the Kagoma axis. Police efforts are ongoing to apprehend Ali Haruna and recover additional weapons and exhibits connected to the case.
