Lagos Court Orders Businesswoman to Return Ikoyi Property and Refund ₦473m to Ex-Husband
On March 26, 2026, the Lagos High Court delivered judgment in suit No. LD/3034LM/2022. Justice Adewunmi-Oshin ruled that the property at 23A & B Olusegun Aina Street, Parkview Estate, Ikoyi, belongs to Chief Isaac Morakinyo Jolapamo. Ms. Olufunke Otti must relinquish it immediately. The judge further ordered Ms. Otti to refund ₦410,347,000 from the sale of two vessels. She must also pay ₦63,000,000 in rental income collected between 2018 and 2021. An additional ₦5,000,000 was awarded to Chief Jolapamo as general damages. Ms. Otti and Chief Jolapamo married in 2017 after meeting at Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries. They separated in March 2019 and divorced in April 2025. The dispute began when she registered the Parkview Estate home solely in her name without his consent. With this ruling, Chief Jolapamo has reclaimed his property rights and financial entitlements.
