Ejiofor Seeks Truth and Justice Over Alleged Orsu Ihiteukwa Atrocities

Human rights lawyer Ifeanyi Ejiofor has called for a full, lawful investigation into alleged atrocities in Orsu Ihiteukwa and surrounding communities in Imo State. He said emerging accounts from victims and survivors point to deep trauma, deaths, displacement and the destruction of community life. He urged the documentation of evidence, dignified treatment of victims, rehabilitation of affected areas and transparent accountability for anyone found responsible. Ejiofor said healing must be based on truth, justice and reconciliation rather than revenge. He appealed to residents and survivors to continue sharing their accounts so the events are not erased or distorted.
