1 / 2

Rangers reclaimed top spot in the NPFL after a hard-fought 2-1 home victory over Enyimba at Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium. Enyimba opened the scoring through Wonah Williams, but Chidozie Iwundu levelled soon after the hour. Defender Ifeanyi Onyebuchi then netted the winner in the 68th minute. Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu praised his side’s thorough preparation and stressed the value of goals from all areas, including defenders. He also urged the team to remain humble as they pursue a ninth league title. Rangers now travel to face Bayelsa United at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa this weekend.
