Lagos Residents Heed Monthly Sanitation Drive, HoS Reports

Lagos Residents Heed Monthly Sanitation Drive, HoS Reports

Lagos State Head of Service Bode Agoro says more residents are joining the reintroduced monthly sanitation exercise across the state. “When people realised this is not a one-off programme, more showed up,” he said, though he admits some still need a push. He promised to investigate reported delays by private waste operators and urged residents to stop indiscriminate dumping. Agoro also noted that a dilapidated building on Salami Street in Kosofe will be inspected and torn down if it threatens public safety. He called on corporate organisations to support the drive through CSR and stressed that keeping Lagos clean is everyone’s duty. Kosofe Local Government chairman Moyo Ogunlewe commended communities for their efforts and pledged council support.
