Momodu: Osun Governorship Poll Is Adeleke vs Tinubu, Not APC

Dele Momodu, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, says the August 15 Osun governorship election is effectively a contest between Governor Ademola Adeleke and President Bola Tinubu. Speaking on a television political programme, Momodu argued that the APC lacks the grassroots strength to defeat Adeleke without the influence of the presidency. He said even some APC members understand Adeleke’s political standing in Osun. His comments come as parties make their final campaign pushes ahead of Saturday’s governorship poll.
