On the morning of Sunday, March 8, 2026, Alhaji Haruna Usman was found bound near Coscharis Motors in Central Area, Abuja. He is a cattle trader from Adamawa State. He had been travelling with 36 cows destined for Bayelsa State. Usman said he took a small vehicle from Jambutu to Zuba before moving on to Maraba. At about 7:30 a.m., he switched to another car for the final leg to Bayelsa. He sat in the front seat with three other passengers behind him. Suddenly, the occupants attacked Usman. They forced him off guard, stole his phone and N350,000 in cash, and tied a cord around his neck. Good Samaritans discovered him and quickly untied him, securing his release.
