Asa Mourns Loss of Her Mother to a Brain Tumour

Singer Bukola Elemide, widely known as Asa, announced the passing of her mother after a sudden battle with a brain tumour. She shared the news on Instagram on March 24, explaining that the illness came without warning. In her tribute, Asa called her mum “my reason to be, my queen, my everything.” Asa remembered her mother’s kindness, quiet strength and sense of humour. She joked that although her mum “couldn’t hold a note,” she sang every one of Asa’s songs with her whole heart. Asa vowed to carry her mother’s love, spirit and strength with her forever. May her soul rest in peace.
