This has increased operation cost of business and reduced the real wages of Nigerians—leaving many not able to make ends meet. 4) Perceived disconnect and reckless spending. President Tinubu is totally detached from what average Nigerians are going through on daily basic. He spent too much money buying expensive vehicles for lawmakers, government officials and renovation of his vice president homes. 5) Governance and Human Rights concerns. Many questions have been raised against the declining press freedom in Nigeria. Government use force against anti-hardship protesters. High level corruption and lack of transparency are on the rise in president Tinubu administration. For example, President Tinubu administration awarded a contract to one company to build 700 miles highway—costing $13 billion without allowing other contractors to bid—raising questions about nepotism. Recent opinion polls and interviews conducted among 11000 Nigerians produced no shocking results of what Nigerians think about president Tinubu seeking 2nd term in 2027.
