APC’s Faleke Picks N100m Nomination Form to Launch Tinubu’s 2027 Re-Election Bid

APC’s Faleke Picks N100m Nomination Form to Launch Tinubu’s 2027 Re-Election Bid

The APC lawmaker for Ikeja Federal Constituency collected the presidential Expression of Interest and Nomination forms on behalf of President Bola Tinubu. The forms, priced at N100 million, were handed over by the party’s National Organising Secretary in Abuja. Faleke, also founder of the Tinubu Support Groups, said the move underscores growing backing for the president’s second-term ambition. This step formally kicks off Tinubu’s campaign preparations for 2027. INEC has set the presidential and National Assembly polls for January 16, 2027, and the governorship and state assembly elections for February 6. Party primaries will run from April 23 to May 30, 2026, with campaigns beginning in August and September next year.

It sounds like party bigwigs are more interested in high fees than grassroots engagement this time around.

Parties could consider sliding scale nomination fees or sponsorship options to include candidates with limited financial backing.
