Two Pupils, Aged 4 and 6, Abducted While Returning from School in Umuosu-Nsulu, Abia
On Friday, June 26, six pupils walking home from school at Umuosu-Nsulu in Isiala Ngwa LGA flagged down a commercial tricycle when heavy rain began. Two younger children, Eberechi (4) and Abraham (6), boarded alongside four older pupils and two women already in the vehicle. Instead of stopping at their intended marketplace drop-off, the tricycle operator claimed he had run out of fuel. He handed money to the four older children and told them to buy petrol. By the time they returned, the driver had sped off with the two younger pupils and the two women, believed to be his accomplices. The whereabouts of Eberechi and Abraham remain unknown.
