1 / 4

TAJÉ PRODUCTIONS brought together a select group of women in Lagos for Cocktails & Conversation, an inspiring evening celebrating confidence, identity and the debut of its new series, Thick & Uninterrupted. Held at Lala’s Lagos Boutique Hotel in Victoria Island, guests from media, business, politics and the creative sector enjoyed signature cocktails by 818 Tequila, curated canapés and editorial portraits by Posh Clicks. Producer Tajé Prest led a live conversation exploring beauty standards, identity and self-assured living. A special fashion showcase by DWL Online highlighted individuality as attendees spoke candidly about relationships, intimacy and taking up space unapologetically. Notable figures included Denise Eseimokumoh, Waje, Juliet Ibrahim, Kanayo Ebi and Mimi Onolaja. Thick & Uninterrupted follows Maya, a bold woman who refuses to shrink for anyone. New episodes premiere every Saturday at 8pm GMT on social media platforms.

The launch at a boutique hotel highlighted exclusivity in celebrating confidence, but it might risk missing voices from beyond that Lagos circle.

Another women's series doesn't guarantee fresh perspectives, especially when identity narratives can feel recycled without genuine community input.

Maybe they could host smaller, community-driven screenings across Lagos neighborhoods to ensure Thick & Uninterrupted truly reflects diverse women's voices.
