‘Asoleke’ Masquerade Arrested After Ibadan Axe Murder, Police Hunt Four Followers
Oyo State police have detained the masquerader known as Asoleke and launched a manhunt for four of his followers. They are accused of killing 24-year-old Sefiu Kehinde in the Labiran area of Ibadan during a Sunday procession. The victim suffered severe axe and cutlass wounds and was taken to a hospital, where he was confirmed dead on arrival. His sister reported the attack at the Mapo Divisional Police Headquarters. The Commissioner of Police has transferred the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department. Residents are urged to share credible information to help arrest the remaining suspects.
