Gunmen Abduct Pastor and Two Worshippers from NKST Church in Benue
In the early hours of Tuesday, June 30, armed men stormed the residence of NKST Church in Andyar, Benue State, and abducted Pastor Samuel Gbinde alongside two church members. The Universal Reformed Christian Church (NKST) confirmed the kidnapping in a statement signed by its General Secretary, Rev. Dr. T. A. Targba. The church appealed for prayers and support for the victims’ safe return. Expressing sympathy for the affected families and congregation, NKST urged security agencies and both Benue State and federal authorities to act swiftly to rescue the captives and bring the perpetrators to justice. The church also called for proactive measures to combat kidnapping and other security threats, and reaffirmed its faith in God for the unconditional release of its pastor and the two members.
