NDC Ekiti Candidates Protest Missing Nomination Forms, Demand Investigation

On 29 May 2026, we participated in transparent NDC primary elections in Ekiti State under the supervision of Hon. Oguntuase Funso Saka. Peter Obi emerged as our party’s presidential candidate, and we won senatorial, House of Representatives, and Assembly primaries. After the elections, we were denied our nomination forms. Investigations suggest Apostle Ayodele David-Adesua may have diverted and sold all forms to non-members for personal gain. We urge the National Executive Council to investigate the allocation, sale, and whereabouts of these forms. We demand suspension of further form processing, the recovery of withheld forms, and measures to ensure fairness ahead of the 2027 elections. This appeal aims to protect internal democracy, restore member confidence, and uphold the party’s constitution. We remain committed to NDC principles of transparency and accountability.

It's odd that nomination forms vanished despite a supervised primary under Hon Oguntuase Funso Saka's watch.

Could there be another reason those forms disappeared beyond simple mismanagement?

While investigating is important, aren't we overlooking the possibility that some candidates simply missed submission deadlines?

The party should set up an independent committee with clear timelines and publish progress reports to restore confidence quickly.
