Debunking the Myth of Bulletproof ‘Jazz’ and Fighting Bandits in Southwest Nigeria
Many people claim charms or ‘jazz’ can stop bullets in attacks. This belief leaves communities unprotected against armed bandits. Sunday Igboho’s repeated denials that bullets can penetrate his defenders ignore the real threat facing southern Nigeria. Superstitions alone have not rescued kidnapped students or cleared bandit hideouts. A practical approach is urgently needed. Equip vigilantes with reliable rifles like Remington 7600, AK-47s, bulletproof vests and drones. Proper training and modern gear can improve rescue operations. Clinging to myths only deepens the security crisis. Nigerians must focus on facts and real solutions if we hope to defend our communities effectively.
