Kian Lawley is an American YouTuber and actor born on 2 September 1995 in Sioux City, Iowa. He began creating videos in 2010 on his Superkian13 channel and later collaborated with creators including Sam Pottorff and JC Caylen. He remains known for the KianAndJc channel. Lawley moved into acting with films such as The Chosen, Shovel Buddies, Before I Fall and the Boo! A Madea Halloween films. He also appeared in Zac & Mia and co-created the web series H8TERS with Caylen. In 2018, resurfaced videos showed him using racial slurs. He apologised, but his role in The Hate U Give was recast and his agency ended its representation.
