APC Disqualifies 47 Senatorial Aspirants Including Ben Murray-Bruce From 2027 Primaries

The All Progressives Congress has announced that 47 candidates failed to secure clearance for its Senate primaries ahead of the 2027 general elections. Among those barred from contesting is former Bayelsa East senator Ben Murray-Bruce, along with another aspirant from the same district, Benson Agadaga. The screening covered multiple states and districts nationwide. Rivers State saw four hopefuls from its West district disqualified, while Zamfara recorded seven exclusions across its Central, North and West zones. The party has not disclosed the specific reasons or criteria behind these decisions.
