Free Medical Outreach Brings Care to Women and Children in AMAC
Rotary Club of Abuja Highrise delivered free healthcare and support to women, children and other vulnerable residents of Yimitu Village in the Abuja Municipal Area Council. The one-day maternal and child health outreach provided essential services under the banner of “Service Above Self.” Expectant mothers received delivery kits for safe childbirth, while children were immunised against polio. Residents also benefitted from free medical consultations, health screenings for common ailments, eye examinations and distribution of medications. Rotary Club President Ishaku Maigida said the initiative aimed to bring quality healthcare closer to underserved communities. He emphasised that this successful outreach marks just the beginning of sustainable, people-centred interventions across the Federal Capital Territory.
