Yoruba Movie Icon Taiwo Adeshina “Elegbeje Ado” Dies at 66

Veteran Yoruba actor Taiwo Adeshina, best known by his stage name Elegbeje Ado, passed away on Monday after a brief illness at the age of 66. He earned national fame for his roles in classic films like Ageku Abela, Oko Abiku and Kadara Mi. His nickname, Elegbeje, speaks to a persona deeply fortified with charms and strength. In 2016, he devoted himself to ministry by founding the Heroes of Faith Gospel Film Ministry and pastoring a church in Ogun State. His legacy of memorable performances and devoted service to faith and film lives on.
