Even Solomon Raised a Rehoboam: Rethinking Parental Blame
Hello everyone, Solomon was the richest and wisest king. He received wisdom directly from God and built the temple. He even wrote Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and Song of Songs. Yet his son Rehoboam mismanaged the throne and lost ten tribes in three days. This proves that even the greatest parents can raise children who stray. If Solomon did his best, why do we crucify parents when adult children go wrong? Parenting is influence, not control. At some point, each person must choose their own path. 1. Is parenting fully responsible for an adult’s choices? 2. Can a good home still produce a ‘bad product’? 3. When should we stop blaming parents and start holding adults accountable?
