NDDC Finance Director Dr. Kunemofa Asu Earns Ph.D. in Disaster Risk Management from UNIPORT

Dr. Kunemofa Asu, Director of Finance and Accounts at the Niger Delta Development Commission, was formally awarded her Ph.D. in Disaster Risk Management on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at the University of Port Harcourt. The degree was conferred during UNIPORT’s 36th Combined Convocation Ceremony at the M&W Convocation Arena. The event featured a convocation lecture on leadership and infrastructure by the Minister of the FCT. Dr. Asu holds an MBA from the National Open University of Nigeria and a B.Sc. in Accountancy from Rivers State University. She also received an Honorary Doctorate in Leadership and Financial Management from an American institution last year. With over two decades of experience in financial strategy, she has championed key fiscal policies at the NDDC. Her awards include the Peace Achievers International Award and international honours for public service excellence.
