The Adamawa State Police Command is investigating the shooting of Rev. Emmanuel Ezeokwe in Zinai Village, Bolki, Song Local Government Area. The incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, April 21, when suspected gunmen opened fire on the cleric. Police recovered three empty AK-47 cartridges at the scene. Officers rushed Rev. Ezeokwe to a local hospital, where a medical doctor pronounced him dead. His body has been deposited at the morgue for autopsy. The Commissioner of Police has directed the SCID deputy commissioner to lead a discreet investigation. Tactical teams are tracking down those responsible, and the public is urged to provide any useful information. The Anglican Diocese of Yola confirmed the attack and described it as a painful loss. The church community is asked to keep the family and the Diocese in their prayers.
