Man City, Chelsea and Liverpool in Race to Sign Barcelona’s Jules Koundé
Three Premier League giants have shown strong interest in Barcelona’s French defender Jules Koundé ahead of the summer transfer window. Despite signing a contract extension until 2030, Barcelona are open to offers as they seek funds to rebuild their squad. The Catalan club face financial pressure and view Koundé as a valuable asset. Reports suggest Barcelona would demand between €65 million and €80 million for the 27-year-old. Sporting director Deco previously insisted Koundé was off the market, but the club’s need to balance the books may force their hand. Koundé joined Barcelona from Sevilla in 2022 for an initial €50 million fee, meaning any sale would represent a significant profit for the club.
