Ilobu Shooting Tragedy: 14-Year-Old Boy Killed Near Irepodun Secretariat
A 14-year-old boy was shot dead by suspected hoodlums on Sunday afternoon, June 21, near the entrance of the Irepodun Local Government Secretariat in Ilobu, Osun State. Witnesses say the attackers, allegedly led by a notorious thug known as Tanfeani, fired indiscriminately after spotting a man wearing a political party–coloured cap at a palm wine joint owned by the victim’s mother. The boy was not the intended target and died on the spot. Another man sustained gunshot injuries and is receiving treatment in hospital. The Osun State Police confirm the suspects are still at large and say efforts are ongoing to apprehend them.
