Gary Sinise is an American actor, director and voice artist best known for Forrest Gump, Of Mice and Men, George Wallace and CSI: NY, where he played Detective Mac Taylor. His career has earned him an Emmy, a Golden Globe and an Academy Award nomination. Beyond acting, Sinise is widely recognised for supporting US military veterans and their families. He received the Presidential Citizens Medal in 2008 and has collected several humanitarian and civic honours. Sinise has been married to actress Moira Harris since 1981, and they have three children. Their son, musician McCanna “Mac” Sinise, died in January 2024 after living with chordoma, a rare spinal cancer. Sinise’s estimated net worth is about $40 million.
