NRS Debunks Viral Vehicle Tax Infographic, Says No New Levy

The Nigeria Revenue Service has dismissed a circulating infographic claiming a new vehicle tax would take effect on July 1. Special Adviser Dare Adekambi explained that the graphic offered no official rate, named no author and pointed users to the wrong link instead of the service’s official website. He clarified that the Federal Government has not introduced any fresh vehicle tax and urged Nigerians to ignore the fabricated messages. Citizens are advised to rely only on verified government channels for accurate tax information.
