NDLEA Busts N5.8bn 'Loud' Cannabis Stash in Lekki Luxury Mansion
Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency raided a luxury mansion in Lekki Phase 1 on May 8, recovering 2,326kg of 'Loud' cannabis valued at about N5.8bn. They also seized two Mercedes-Benz buses and designer sachets used for packaging. In separate operations, NDLEA arrested a man in Nasarawa State with 129kg of skunk and intercepted 766kg more on the Okene-Lokoja highway, detaining three suspects. Agents also raided a makeshift skuchies factory in Ijora Badia, Lagos, arresting two people and seizing 270 litres of skuchies and 106 grams of Tramadol. The agency intensified its War Against Drug Abuse sensitisation campaigns last week with lectures and outreach in schools, worship centres and communities nationwide.
