Super Falcons Hammer Senegal 3-0 to Send Strong WAFCON Warning
The Super Falcons produced a commanding second-half display to defeat Senegal 3-0 in a friendly at Ikenne. After a goalless first half in which Nigeria created several chances, Joy Omewa broke the deadlock four minutes after the break with a powerful header. She then doubled her tally in the 55th minute with a calm finish. Coach Justin Madugu’s substitutions paid off as Asisat Oshoala added a third goal in the 66th minute, courtesy of a neat assist from Rasheedat Ajibade. The Falcons maintained control for the rest of the match to secure back-to-back wins over the Teranga Lionesses.
