Togo Opens Visa-Free Travel to All African Nationals from May 2026
From May 18, 2026, citizens of all African countries can enter Togo visa-free for up to 30 days. Travellers must complete an online pre-arrival registration at least 24 hours before crossing land, air or sea borders. This generates a travel slip to present on arrival. The Ministry of Security says the policy reinforces Togo’s commitment to Pan-African ideals, continental solidarity and regional integration. Standard checks—security, immigration and health—remain in place. All border agencies are directed to enforce this rule immediately, making Togo one of the easiest West African destinations for Nigerian passport holders.
