Ghana Coach Praises Flying Eagles After Nigeria’s 4-2 Win in WAFU U-20 Qualifier
Ghana’s Black Satellites coach, Maxwell Konadu, has praised Nigeria’s Flying Eagles as physically strong and well organised after their 4-2 win in the opening match of the WAFU B U-20 qualifiers in Côte d’Ivoire. Nigeria took an early lead through Olayemi Ayinla before Mohamed Zaidan equalised for Ghana. Lucky Oraro restored the Flying Eagles’ advantage with a free-kick, while Muiz Adeleke scored two penalties to secure the victory. Kelvin Nkrumah also converted a penalty for Ghana. Konadu said Ghana’s high-press approach led to avoidable errors and admitted that Nigeria were the better side. The Flying Eagles will face Togo in their next group match at the Yamoussoukro Stadium.
