Traumatised Teacher Warns Parents After SS1 Boy Nearly Dies from Hard Drugs
I teach at a secondary school and today I saw something I’ll never forget. A SS1 boy was rushed into the staff room convulsing and foaming at the mouth. We later learned a classmate had given him “colos” to ease a headache. When we searched the suspect’s bag, we found powdered and wrapped hard drugs. He even tried to swallow the evidence before senior classmates intervened and warned him of the danger. I had never handled drugs in their raw form until today. I’m traumatised and don’t know what lesson to draw except this: parents, please pay closer attention to your sons.
