Oba of Lagos Marks 23 Years on Throne, Prays for Tinubu and National Stability
The Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu, celebrated his 23rd coronation anniversary at Iga Idunganran Palace in Lagos. The event drew Islamic clerics, traditional chiefs and well-wishers who joined in prayers for peace and progress across Nigeria. Reflecting on his journey, Oba Akiolu described his ascension in 2003 as divine destiny. He recounted his 32 years in the Nigeria Police Force and urged Nigerians to uphold integrity in leadership. The monarch also prayed for President Bola Tinubu’s success, praising major infrastructure initiatives like the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and Badagry-Sokoto corridor.
