APC Deploys Fact-Finding Team to Heal Anambra Rift
The All Progressives Congress has appealed to members in Anambra State to remain calm as it moves to resolve an internal crisis. The national leadership has formed a five-member fact-finding and reconciliation committee. Dr. Ben Nwaoye, APC Deputy National Chairman (South) and committee chairman, said the panel will investigate the immediate and remote causes of the dispute. Its members include the National Woman Leader, the National Legal Adviser, the National Leader of Persons with Disabilities, and the National Secretary as the committee secretary. The team is tasked with engaging all factions, restoring unity, and ensuring APC candidates can participate freely in upcoming elections. Dr. Nwaoye urged members to exhaust internal dispute processes before seeking court intervention. Letters will be sent to stakeholders and security agencies in Anambra to safeguard party property. Consultations will begin in Abuja before the panel travels to Awka for further stakeholder meetings.
