Publisher Arraigned for Defaming Gov Soludo Over Son Ozonna

The Anambra State Police Command arraigned Ejike Ofoegbu today over allegations that he published fabricated and defamatory reports against Governor Soludo’s family. The charges stem from social media posts falsely claiming the governor had disowned his son Ozonna and making other injurious statements. After investigations triggered by a petition, the suspect was transferred from the DSS in Awka and brought before a competent court. He has since retracted the false claims and issued a public apology to the governor. According to the police spokesperson, Ejike Ofoegbu has been remanded in a state correctional centre pending further legal proceedings.
