Presidency Insists FG Acted Swiftly After Oyo School Kidnap
The presidency has defended the federal response to the recent abduction of schoolchildren and teachers in Oyo State. The special adviser on media said the president condemned the attack and mobilised security agencies within 24 hours. He added that the inspector general and senior officers were on the ground within 48 hours. Special rescue units, troops, tanks and newly recruited forest guards have been deployed, and security cordons set up around affected villages. The aide also highlighted broader interventions in the region, from advancing the Oyo–Ogbomoso road project to establishing a local military base. He noted that ongoing national security and economic reforms demonstrate the administration’s commitment.
