NDC Secretary Accuses Anti-Obi Forces of Orchestrating Deregistration Suit

Ikenna Enekweizu, National Secretary of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), says opponents of Peter Obi are behind the recent court bid to deregister the party. He made the claim while speaking on a Channels Television programme after a Federal High Court in Lokoja ruled that the NDC should be barred from contesting the 2027 general elections. “Many Nigerians know Peter Obi will be our presidential candidate,” he said. “Those who see no chance against him are working to keep him off the ballot—that is the reality.”
