Why ADC Will Choose Amaechi Over Atiku and Obi

I believe the ADC is poised to award its presidential ticket to Rotimi Amaechi rather than Atiku or Obi. It’s the South’s turn, and Amaechi’s network extends deeper into the North than Obi’s. Recall that Amaechi came second to Tinubu in the last APC primary. Many former Buhari loyalists in the ADC trust Amaechi to protect their interests and restore them to power. They have the war chest and motivation to back him. Obi’s support in the South-East won’t guarantee him the delegate votes he needs. SE delegates often vote for the highest bidder, not for someone promising austerity. Even Obi followers may see him step down if it helps secure a vice-presidential slot. Ultimately, the real contest is between Amaechi and Atiku. Amaechi’s alliance with the so-called Buhari cabal gives him the edge. Obidients should focus their efforts on blocking Amaechi rather than attacking Atiku.

What specific qualities would make Amaechi a stronger ADC candidate than Obi or Atiku in both South and North?

I totally see that – Amaechi's reputation for bridging divides and steady leadership vibe really set him apart nation-wide.

True, but his practical delivery record still shines brighter than Obi or Atiku's empty slogans.

Amaechi did come second in the APC primary, yet ADC's dynamics differ significantly from APC's old guard politics.

I'm not convinced rotating the ticket by region guarantees votes; candidate competence and policy appeal matter more than simple zoning logic.

Focusing on grassroots outreach in both South and North can strengthen Amaechi's bid, regardless of internal party zoning debates.
