Kano State Police Command says a 25-year-old woman from Maigatari LGA in Jigawa State has been arrested after allegedly attacking her boyfriend with a knife at Durbar Hotel in Badawa on 27 July 2026. Police allege that the victim sustained a severe genital injury after the woman reportedly learned he intended to marry another person. Officers from Badawa Division arrested the suspect and recovered a knife as evidence. Police spokesperson CSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa said he is not a medical doctor and that an update would be provided on the victim's condition.
