Brigadier General Onu Takes Command of 35 Artillery Brigade
Brigadier General Friday Oguche Onu has formally assumed leadership as the 14th Commander of the 35 Artillery Brigade at Alamala Barracks in Abeokuta, Ogun State. His predecessor, Brigadier General Godwin Nwamba, has been redeployed to the Army Headquarters Department of Civil-Military Affairs as Acting Deputy Chief for Psychological Operations. In his farewell address, General Nwamba thanked officers and soldiers for their support and urged them to back the new Commander. On taking over, Brigadier General Onu commended the developmental strides achieved under General Nwamba. He called on all personnel to uphold professionalism, prioritise soldier welfare, and lend their full cooperation to advance the Brigade’s mission. Ceremony highlights included the signing of transfer documents, the passing of the brigade’s insignia, an address to troops, a Quarter Guard parade, and a group photograph.
