Iran’s IRGC Strikes US Air Base After Latest US Strikes
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps says it targeted a US air base in response to fresh American strikes on southern Iran. Kuwait reported intercepting missiles and drone threats as US forces shot down Iranian drones over the Strait of Hormuz and bombed a site in Bandar Abbas. The US Central Command described Iran’s attack as a “ceasefire violation” and said all incoming threats were intercepted. Tensions have flared after two rounds of US strikes in three days, which Washington said were acts of self-defence. Both sides claim they are defending their sovereign territory amid fears of a broader conflict in the region. The renewed hostilities threaten a fragile truce and could further disrupt global shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.
