June 2026 Guide: Where to Get the Cheapest Cooking Gas (LPG) in Nigeria
In June 2026, imported cooking gas landing costs dropped to around N950,000 per tonne. Yet many retail outlets still charge far above this. For the lowest rates, head to major depot-aligned plants like NNPC, TotalEnergies or Rainoil. They buy directly from coastal depots and offer refills at about N1,500–1,700 per kg. Avoid small neighbourhood cage shops. They’re selling older stocks at N2,000–2,400 per kg. A 12.5kg cylinder here can cost N25,000 or more. Note that LPG from Dangote Refinery trades at around N1,410 per kg ex-depot, so stations sourcing exclusively from there may be pricier.
