Messi Joins Elite 900-Goal Club with Inter Miami Strike
Lionel Messi became only the second player in history to reach 900 top-level career goals when he scored for Inter Miami against Nashville SC in the Concacaf Champions Cup. The 38-year-old Argentine hit the landmark just seven minutes into the match at Geodis Park. Since joining Miami in June 2023, he has netted 81 times in 92 outings, helping secure both the League Cup and MLS Cup. Over his glittering career, Messi has also starred for Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Argentina. His tally includes 755 left-footed strikes, 112 penalties, 70 free-kicks and goals against top rivals. He and Cristiano Ronaldo remain the only men to clear 900 official goals.
