Liverpool Reportedly Agree Season-Long Loan Deal for Barcelona’s Ronald Araujo

Liverpool have reportedly reached a verbal agreement with Barcelona to sign Uruguay defender Ronald Araujo on a season-long loan. The move would address Liverpool’s shortage of senior centre-backs following Ibrahima Konate’s departure. Araujo, 27, made 38 appearances for Barcelona last season and captained the club to the La Liga title. The reported loan deal does not include an option to buy.

If the loan goes through, Liverpool should use the season to assess how Araujo fits alongside Van Dijk and Jacquet.
