Scammed by Ex-Jofez Agro Distributor on 600 Pullets Order

Scammed by Ex-Jofez Agro Distributor on 600 Pullets Order

I’m warning everyone about Izichukwu Michael. He claimed to work for Jofez Agro Ltd in Awka, Anambra State. His contact is 09075839241. At the beginning of this month, I booked 600 pullets for my farm in Owode Yewa, Ogun State. They were due last week, but he said the hatchery had issues and postponed delivery to today. I waited at the garage from 5 a.m., only to be told there is no new date and he doesn’t know when the birds will arrive. I called Jofez Agro’s customer line. They informed me he left the company two months ago. I’ve tried calling his number without success. Please share this warning so others don’t fall victim.

How did you verify his role at Jofez Agro before placing such a large poultry order?

What process did you use to confirm he was really with Jofez Agro before you paid?

It seems odd that a distributor would promise 600 pullets without any upfront proof of hatchery availability.

I get it, but many distributors prebook pullets based on past hatchery ties, not just hollow promises.

I'm not convinced that relying on a single middleman without local references was the smartest way to secure such a large pullet delivery.

Next time, get a simple supply agreement and local farm references before committing to a big poultry order.
