‘Scary, Unfair and Humiliating’: Nigerian Woman Shares Racist Eviction Story in China
A Nigerian woman recalls how her Chinese landlord abruptly told her and other Black tenants to leave his apartment without warning. He openly said he didn’t want a Black person living there. The landlord refused to refund their 7,000 RMB deposit and called the police when they protested. At the station, tenants begged for more time.
