Gunmen Abduct Two Farmers in Ondo Forest, Demand ₦10 Million Ransom
Two farmers went missing on Saturday along the Oke-Ifira/Idogun axis in Akoko South-East, Ondo State. The victims’ families say kidnappers have demanded ₦10 million for their release. The case was reported to the police and the Amotekun Corps in Akure. However, the Ondo State Police Command says it is not aware of any ransom demand. Officials confirmed only that a missing persons report was filed at the Isua Akoko divisional station. A joint security team of police, army, Amotekun, local hunters, Agbekoya operatives and community volunteers is leading search and rescue operations. The police have appealed to anyone with credible information to come forward and assist efforts to find the victims and bring the kidnappers to justice.
