BET Awards 2026: Tems Tops Nigerian Nominees, Wizkid, Asake and Burna Boy in Contention
The 2026 BET Awards nominations are in, and Nigerian talent features strongly. Tems leads the pack with three nominations, including Best Female R&B/Pop Artist, a BET Her nod for “First,” and a Viewers’ Choice spot for her feature on Dave’s “Raindance.” Wizkid and Asake earned a Best Group nomination, while Burna Boy scored Best Collaboration for his appearance on Gunna’s “wgft.” The ceremony takes place on June 28 at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, hosted by comedian Druski, the youngest ever in the show’s history. On the global list, Cardi B leads all artists with four nods, and other big names like Bruno Mars and Kendrick Lamar also feature.
